Intercultural Mentorship as a Leadership Role

Intercultural mentorship requires special knowledge, skills, and attitudes (Osula Irvin 2009; Dominguez Garcia 2012:109-116; Crutcher 2006:67- 74). Leader mentoring in intercultural contexts entails a way of living that inspires the mentee to develop “similar mindset” (Rayford 2014:15). This article describes importance as leadership role. The study starts with an evaluation Osuna Irvin’s model cultural awareness. Then, it explores concept competence mentoring, illustrates leader relationship context, applies university setting.
